Beatification Of A Young Computer Programmer

Carlo Acutis: A Millennial Saint

Beatification of a Young Computer Programmer

Carlo Acutis, a 15-year-old Italian boy who died of leukemia in 2006, has been beatified by the Catholic Church. Acutis, who is considered the first millennial to be beatified, was known for his computer programming skills and his devotion to the Eucharist. His life has inspired a new documentary, "Heaven Can't Wait," which will be released in theaters later this year.

Acutis was born in London to Italian parents in 1991. He was diagnosed with leukemia in 2006 and died just months later. During his illness, Acutis continued to program computers and to write about his faith. He also created a website to help people learn about the Eucharist.

Acutis's beatification is a sign of the Church's recognition of the holiness of young people. It is also a reminder that holiness is not limited to those who live in poverty or who perform great miracles. As Pope Francis has said, "Holiness is not about being perfect, but about living with love and offering oneself to God."

The documentary "Heaven Can't Wait" tells the story of Acutis's life and his impact on the world. The film features interviews with Acutis's family and friends, as well as with experts on his life and work. The documentary is a powerful reminder that holiness is possible for everyone, regardless of their age or circumstances.
